PHOTO 1 - unknown staff circa early 1930?:

This must be the oldest photo that Les du Preez has in the (salvaged) PDHS-JJ du Preez Archives!!  Mr JJ du Preez is seated in the middle;  the gentleman standing on the right is Mr JA Cilliers and second from the right, in uniform, is Mr DG Roux.

If this is a photo of the complete staff complement, it must have been taken some time between January 1931 when Mr du Preez joined as Principal and 1934 when Mr Jack Sagel joined.

A more accurate date will be possible when I determine when Mr DG Roux joined, otherwise, I just hope someone out there will be able to identify the date more more accurately - and identify more people!!

(I apologise for the poor quality of the photo - taking a photo of a framed photo - like this one - without the proper equipment is difficult!!  None of the professional photographic places in Cape Town were prepared to do it unless they could remove the photo from the frame!!!)
