2000 REUNION: COMMENTS - BACKGROUND:

The main venue was the Parow High School, formerly the Tygerberg Commercial High School, corner of Voortrekker Road and Toner Street.  "Officially" the reunion brought together those connected with the school during the years 1956 to 1960 inclusive, although there were a few ex-pupils from other years.

The programme of events for the Reunion 2000 weekend was:

• Cheese and Wine in the foyer on evening of Friday 22nd September;


• Main reunion dinner (and dance?) in the Gymnasium hall, evening of Saturday 23rd September;


• A Church service on morning of Sunday 24th September: the service was led by Ds. Gawie le Roux ('57) and I believe the organist was Petro Bezuidenhout (Stander '58) (Dankie Gawie en Petro!!!) and was held in the Chapel of the Tygerberg Hospital (Thank You Henny Cloete (Karreman '60)!!);


• After the Church service, a brunch at a restaurant at Tygervalley Shopping complex (Again, Thank You Henny Cloete!)
